• Sales - Consulted with clients and made recommendations according to project requirements and available budgets.
• Design - Performed site measurements and calculated heat load requirements. Determined which types of products were required for projects.
• Service - Consulted with clients in person and over the phone in order to determine the clients' requirements and to give them an indication of the costs involved.
• Installation - Carried out installation work on A/C ducted, split systems, rooftop package units, cassettes, exhaust fans and retrofits.
• Maintenance - Performed chemical cleaning on indoor and outdoor units, replaced filters, test ran and monitored system performance and cycling controls. Inspected electrical and mechanical systems for failed components and faults
• Diagnostics - Carried out various fault-finding procedures on electrical and mechanical systems (leak testing, checking of motors, valves, thermistors, sensors, compressors, contactors, relays, printed circuit boards, thermostats, fuses, circuit breakers and solenoids). Wrote up reports of findings for clients and insurance providers and made recommendation for repairs or replacements.
• Repairs - Performed repair work and replaced faulty components with new on various electrical and mechanical systems (replaced printed circuit boards, controllers, motors, compressors, sensors, thermistors, thermostats, contactors, relays, pressure switches, compressors, repaired gas leaks). Collected cash and credit card payments from clients on completion of jobs.
• Quotations - Prepared and delivered quotes to clients for repairs, replacement systems and new installations. Determined which products to recommend to clients according to project requirements and available budget. Made enquiries to suppliers and compared prices across various products and brands in order to offer competitive prices to clients.
• Commissioning - Set up control parameters for new systems. Calculated and measured air flow rates, measured room temperatures, set up new TX valves and superheat values, measured voltage and current on system components. Test ran and monitored systems using computer software and service tools. Wrote up commissioning reports and signed off on new installations.
• Bookkeeping - Wrote up invoices, reports and quotes using computer software and mobile phone applications.

Performed work for a wide range of commercial and domestic contract clients consisting of homes, schools, hospitals, nursing homes, retirement villages, shipping ports and council etc. Established and maintained strong relationships with clients and made many recommendations to them which then led to further work and sales of new air conditioning products.

Worked out of a commercial vehicle owned and maintained by myself, driving to sites (up to 6 or 7 sites per day) and carrying out most of the work alone.
