I am an enthusiastic and driven 15 year-old student excelling in both academics and sport. I am an A-grade student with outstanding achievements including a Mayor's Youth Award, national level swimming and a commitment to the community as a dedicated Surf Life Saving Patrol Member. I have a strong worth ethic and exceptional communication skills, demonstrating confidence and leadership in all endeavours. I am highly motivated to contribute and grow in new challenges.
The Bronze Medallion is the pinnacle of Surf Life Saving patrolling awards. As a Bronze Medallion holder I have the required skills and knowledge relating to surf awareness, rescue techniques, radio communication, CPR and first aid.
I am responsible for patrolling the beach and ensuring that the public remain safe, and may be called upon to perform rescues on the board or with the tube, as well as execute preventative actions.
The Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC) is a stepping stone towards gaining a Bronze Medallion, It provided me with basic skills and knowledge of first aid, rescues, and CPR, enabling me to patrol as part of a patrol team.
My first patrol on Australia Day 2023, I assisted in a rescue of 5 men who had gotten themselves stuck in the notorious wild cattle creek rip.
