Lucy Camps

I am a highly motivated, hard working 13 year old with excellent communication skills and a desire to do well. I am quick thinking and calm under pressure which means I can apply problem solving skills in tricky situations. I am able to work independently and have experience leading groups of my peers as a soccer team captain and leader of the cello section in my primary school ensemble. I am eager to learn new skills and prepared to work hard to help wherever I can.

I was House Captain for Kingfisher House at Stanthorpe State Primary School and was awarded the Creative Arts and All-rounder Awards at the end of year 6 in 2022.

I have captained my soccer team on several occasions and in 2023 was awarded Most Improved Player in the 12-14yr Girls competition across the Stanthorpe district.

I have received several awards for performances at the Granite Belt Eisteddfod both in groups, duets and as a soloist, including an award for highest points for a duet pair in 2022.

I am an active member of Stanthorpe City Football club and play in the 12-14 Mixed and 12-14 Girls teams and volunteer in the canteen on match days and assist with coaching of junior teams as required during the season. I also play Futsal and Basketball and enjoy being part of teams. I am an accomplished musician and have performed as a cellist in school and other groups. Since starting high school in 2023 I have been an active member of the Sustainability Club, debating team and Student Council and try to show my leadership qualities in group activites.
