  • I joined Woolworths in 2014, working in The Food Co Team, then joining the Fuel + Metro team in 2015. In 2016 I was promoted to Marketing Communications Manager, working across three businesses at Woolworths; Metro, Caltex, and Thomas Dux (600 stores in total)

Core responsibilities:

  • Marketing manager across three national businesses, covering all Marketing/Media touchpoints & strategy development for all ATL + National marketing communications
  • In store marketing: merchandising, POS, and customer journey mapping
  • Analysis of data and insights to drive innovative customer campaigns


Achievements of note at Woolworths:


  • +65% scan rates of Woolworths Rewards cards over a 12 week campaign period
  • Driving awareness of Woolworths Metro brand through carefully targeted media in NSW, VIC + QLD
  • I won an award for the VIC state campaign due to comp sales growth performance of 40% in this area
  • Award winner for Bondi Beachfest sponsorship campaign with the Beach Boys (this project involved managing a cross functional team of 25 people)
  • Nominated for leadership training based on personal performance in role.

  • The company also hosted networking events regularly
  • My deliverables were growth of attendee numbers, end to end event management of all events in Sydney CBD, partnership development with strategic clients and partners, and all online/BTL marketing activities

Achievements of note at 2Discover:

  • Growth of 40% in attendance at 2Discover Events
  • Developing a partnership with Redkite by rolling out a health + well-being strategy with them being our charity of choice
  • Using my previous experience in market intelligence to develop a CRM system, allowing us to continually develop as best practice event managers.

I Head of Research

Retail Excellence Ireland

  • Retail Excellence Ireland (REI) is a not for profit retail trade body devised to support Irish Retailers by providing exciting market intelligence reports, retail support and training, and other services such as a platinum Preferred Supplier
  • Programme
  • During my time at REI, my role changed significantly over the four years, culminating in being promoted to Head of Research
  • This role was to manage all research interventions, follow market trends, compiling information from various retail sectors and disseminating quarterly and annual reports
  • These reports are covered extensively by the Irish media and used to forecast retail sales across Ireland for the period ahead while also offering an analysis on the current figures
  • This part of the role was the main focus of my job, and included:
  • Quarterly research reports on data trends across all retail sectors, with clients such as McDonalds taking part in weekly Hot Beverage surveys
  • Ongoing qualitative surveys and the ongoing accumulation of data
  • Continual research and analysis across 9,000 retail outlets in Ireland, and developing strong relationships with senior stakeholders (CEO level) of these companies in order to access ongoing sales figures
