I completed my primary practicum placement with the Football West NTC Under 18's team from the start of the preseason in December of 2023 through to their last game in September 2024. My roles during this placement were:

• Delivering warm-ups and rehabilitation sessions.
• Assessing physical and physiological performances.
• Prescribing strength and conditioning sessions.
• Analysing opposition teams for their formations and patterns of play using Wyscout and providing notes on KPIs to coach.

Completed the performance analysis in sport unit that is required for the football performance major. This involved:

• Using Hudl Sportscode to analyse a football team
• Creating a code window and a code definitons file
• Creating and delivering a presentation of the analysis, presenting the KPIs that I chose and then providing tactics or suggestions to improve on the KPIs.
• Creating a report on the internal and external loads faced by football players and how to measure them, as well as analysing the data from said measures.

I have played football for the last 16 years and have learnt a lot about the sport and what goes into making a successful team. I have a great understanding of team dynamics and have a lot of experience working in a team environment. Playing football has also allowed me to develop a good tactical awareness that I would like to develop further. I have also had the privilege of being captain, which has given me the experience of addressing a team and has provided me with some great leadership skills.
