I am a motivated and compassionate final year nursing student with a strong passion for helping others, driven by my experiences growing up in Abu Dhabi. My diverse background has given me a deep sense of empathy and cultural awareness, which I bring to my nursing practice. I am also highly active and enjoy sports, which has helped me develop teamwork, discipline, and resilience, qualities I carry into my professional life. Having worked as an Assistant In Nursing, I have gained valuable hands-on experience in patient care, communication, and teamwork within fast-paced healthcare environments. My passion for nursing stems from a desire to make a positive impact on individuals during their most vulnerable moments, and I strive to provide care that is both compassionate and effective. Looking forward, my long-term goal is to volunteer in third-world countries, providing essential healthcare to underserved populations. • Bathurst Base Hospital, Surgical Ward and Operating Theatres, 4 weeks (160hrs), Conducted baseline neurovascular observations for signs of post-op complications., Prepared and dressed an acute post-op wound using ANTT., Safely prepared and managed the delivery of Intravenous Fluids (no additives), including hanging, priming, calculating and setting the rate., Participated in MET calls., ECG taking and interpreting., Successfully managed a 3-patient load under supervision.
• Recovery Camp, Mental Health Placement, (80hrs), Practiced and completed Mental Status Examination on clients (experts)., Assisted with group activities and recreation programs., Build therapeutic relationships with clients.
