The tutoring program is an initiative that has been rolled out across Victoria to offer students the opportunity to work with tutors (for English, Maths and Science) to provide extra assistance after the Covid19 pandemic impact on learning. Currently, I work three days per week visiting English classes and running lunchtime and period 7 tutorials which are attended by up to 10 students. Most are year 9 students, however, I have been assisting with Year 10 and 11 students. My experience at Macrob (as it is widely known) has been fantastic. I have met the most innovative, supporting and lovely staff as well as students who are inspiring, engaged in learning and driven to achieve great feats in the future. 12 students have been referred by English staff as requiring some extra assistance and I have been providing feedback and reporting to the school on their progress.
