Through the restructure, I joined the School Progress and Performance function area. Here, I am the direct support for 3 clusters of Primary schools (roughly 50) varying in context from rural locations to inner-city

  • Through the NSIT Process, I partner closely with those who are identified as a priority support with an improvement agenda on Literacy
  • Support leadership to engage in successful cycles of improvement using my understanding of implementation science to shift leader and teacher mindsets, beliefs and practices which results in improved student outcomes
  • Collaboratively analyse system level and national data to develop a system-wide responses in the areas of Pedagogy, Literacy and English grounded in evidence-based practices
  • Promote a positive learning environment by implementing classroom management techniques that fostered respect, inclusivity, and collaboration
  • Enhance curriculum quality by collaborating with fellow leaders to develop and implement innovative educational programs
  • Engage and collaborate daily with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by supporting leaders to regularly review and update school policies, procedures, and practices to ensure alignment with best practices in education.
  • Evaluate programs and monitor implementation and compliance with regulations to achieve objectives
  • Provide expert advice in Literacy, English and Assessment Practices, Data Analysis Processes and Protocols and Effective Pedagogical Practices within Brisbane Catholic Education Office Schools based on rigorous research, system, and school data and through professional relationships with literacy experts and associations
  • Regularly design and facilitate online and face to face professional learning for Brisbane Catholic Education as a system, cluster of schools, individual schools, curriculum leaders and principals that inspires others to align with shared direction and purpose
  • Lead professional learning for school leaders on how to plan for and engage with effective implementation

  • Supported Primary and Secondary schools through the Accelerate Literacy for Learning projects where I deepened my knowledge of implementation science, developed stronger communication skills, the ability to influence and inspire change and stay current by working alongside teachers in classrooms across all learning areas, all year levels.
  • Panel member for establishing system wide position and advice on the teaching of reading in response to V9 of Australian Curriculum.
  • Experience with delivering project work to support the transition to business as usual

I am assigned to 3 clusters of Primary schools (roughly 50). These schools vary in context as they range from our rural schools to our inner-city schools. Through the NSIT Process, I support and partner closely with those who are identified as a priority support with an improvement agenda on Literacy. Here, I have supported leadership to engage in successful cycles of improvement using my understanding of implementation science to shift leader and teacher mindsets, beliefs and practices which results in improved student outcomes., Professionally collaborating with, and providing leadership and specialist Literacy and Learning & Pedagogy advice and support within the function area of Education Strategy Policy & Innovation, Leading professional learning for school leaders on how to plan for and engage with effective implementation, Strategic planning with school leadership teams to make sense of their school reviews and plan next steps, Facilitating a National School Improvement Tool ‘pre-audit’ to support schools prepare for Explicit Improvement Agendas
