Luis Lazo

I am an IT student in my penultimate year at Griffith University, studying a degree in Information Technology with a major in Network and Security. I am eager to use my academic knowledge and improve my skills in a real-world IT environment. I enjoy learning about technology and see new challenges as chances to grow. I am focused on improving my understanding of network protocols, IT security, troubleshooting, and incident response. With a strong base in IT, I am excited to join a team and keep building my experience in the field.

• Certificate of ANZ Bank Simulation (Intermediate Level): Completed a simulation involving a scenario where a device had infiltrated the network. In a simulated cybersecurity exercise at ANZ Bank, I identified and neutralized an attacker who had infiltrated the network using a compromised employee computer. Using Wireshark, I analyzed the network traffic and discovered files taken by the attacker, including bank logos, credit card details, and deleted documents.
• Certificate of Telstra Network Incident Response Simulation (Basic Level): Gained experience in rapid response to network attacks, learning to categorize and forward reports to the relevant IT departments based on the severity and type of attack.
• CompTIA A+ Certification: Completed Core 1 and currently preparing for Core 2. Focused in hardware troubleshooting, operating systems, networking, and IT support.
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH): Planned for certification in the next two months. Focused in network security, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessment.

• ⁠Commited to regular fitness training, focusing on strength and overall health. This helps me maintain discipline and time management while balancing my studies and work.
• ⁠Exploring new IT technologies and tools, often through platforms like TryHackMe or new certificates to improve my skills outside of the classroom.
• ⁠Engagement in personal tech projects, like SmartHome Plus at Uni, where I get to apply my knowledge in real-world scenarios, boosting my problem-solving abilities.
