Luke Fugard

During my time at the Amazon warehouse I was picking and packing, this consisted me using multiple different systems and tools used to complete my tasks. I was made familiar with RF scanners and damage accessing for picking, and for packing I learnt how to use pallet jacks, create boxes, and wrap pallets. Working in a warehouse is very dangerous, so I had to make sure I knew how to spot hazards and ensure I was wearing correct PPE. I had to carry heavy items roughly around 5-30kg regularly, and I was working 10 hour shifts, where my endurance was also tested.

Working as a Decant Team Member at Kmart consisted me of unpacking boxes from pallets being delivered to the store and opening the up the boxes to then sort the stock onto cages, which were rolled out onto the shop floor to be put onto shelves. Being apart of the Decant Team taught me how to be safe with carrying heavy inventory and using PPE, it also equipped me with the capability to work as a team with my co-workers to ensure that we work under our employers standards.
