Coastclad is a small 1 person company i started recently to keep me going while the sale of Evolution was finalising. Some tasks and highlights are noted below;

• Acquiring a new client base has been successful, i am under trade restraints so could not take existing clients but was quickly able to engage new clients in a timely manner.
• Successfully navigating day to day operation in ways that are new to me, doing school runs and helping my wife more while still successfully operating Coastclad has been a new challenge for me which i enjoy.
• General owner/operator duties including all quoting, bookwork, invoicing, accounts payable etc.

• Established and led Evolution, a prominent commercial and industrial roofing company, in 2020.
• Oversaw the entire spectrum of company operations, including on-site works, supervision, project scheduling, site management, client liaison, finances, bookkeeping, invoicing, quoting, and expense management.
• Successfully managed and grew the companies safe work procedures with close team collaboration and vast experience from other companies. The safety of my team, myself and others affected was priority one for me.
• Facilitated effective communication with clients, fostering positive relationships and understanding their needs.
• Implemented robust project scheduling strategies to optimize efficiency and meet deadlines.
• Achieved a significant milestone by selling the company to address family priorities, showcasing strategic decision-making skills.

We grew a close team at Evolution, I would hold quarterly team catch ups where we would test and tag all equipment and provide an open floor for discussion which our team really appreciated and benefited from. Even after selling the company i still keep in touch with the new owner, most of my old employees and suppliers.

Started as a Roof Plumber and quickly advanced to a Supervisor role overseeing medium to large-scale Commercial Roof Plumbing projects.

Roofing 2000 have a high level of expectation around creating safe work environments for all involved which i admired and consider one of my core values as a team member and a leader.

Safeway was where roof plumbing began, starting as a labourer was quickly trained in roof plumbing. Safeway was primarily a roof replacement operation at the time working on government projects such as council buildings, aquatic centres, libraries, Rottnest infrastructure refurbishment and department of housing works.

• Forward thinking and 'reading the play'
• Picking up and delivering materials
• Working as a team
• Maintaining company vehicles and equipment

This was my first experience around high risk construction work, working at heights, working in elevated platforms, working with cranes and mobile plant, it was a great foundation for me and a great team.
