  • I worked full-time as soon as I completed year 12, and I have finished my apprenticeship. We did a wide variety of carpentry work and learned many new skills, such as:
  • Worked with supervisor in order to learn proper techniques for various carpentry tasks.
  • Performed framing tasks, such as laying out walls or installing studs, in preparation for drywall installation.
  • Transported tools and supplies from one job site to another using company vehicle.
  • Installed cabinets, doors frames, windows frames, baseboards and other fixtures according to specifications.
  • Read blueprints or drawings for information on specific construction projects.
  • Collaborated with other tradesmen in order to ensure efficient completion of projects within designated timeframes.
  • Dealing with clients to help with their needs.
  • Ensured that all work completed met building codes prior to final inspection.
  • Worked independently on projects and tasks within carpentry team.
