Work History

WGL Rapid Response

Energy Queensland
Geebung, QLD
01.2023 - Current

A/Area Manager from December 2024 to April 2025

Energy Queensland, Ipswich/Lockyer

I stepped into the Area Manager role to lead operations across the IPL area, ensuring seamless PoW delivery and team safety standards. While in the role, I provided strategic and operational leadership to WGLs, supporting them through daily operational demands and complex challenges. I also strengthened my understanding of regional business needs, workforce planning, and financial management.

A/Area Manager from March 2024 to July 2024

Energy Queensland, Sunshine Coast

I was fortunate enough to be offered a four-month acting arrangement as AM of the Sunshine Coast, during which time I learned an enormous amount about the workings of the business, how to maintain budgets, and manage a team of leaders through day-to-day operations, and all the challenges that present.

Work Group Leader, January 2023 to Present

Energy Queensland, Brisbane North Rapid Response.

Moving to SEQ has provided me with a faster-paced workload and a different outlook on the way I implement our Safety is Defence strategy among a larger, more diverse workgroup.

Work Group Leader, January 2022 to January 2023

Energy Queensland, Middlemount, Queensland.

As Work Group Leader of a small depot, I have a good understanding of all areas of our business, e.g. Overhead, underground, customer service, and fault response. I lead a diverse team with varying levels of skill and experience. The safety culture among my team has a flawless track record, and I always lead by example.

Live Line EIC, September 2021 to January 2022.

Energy Queensland, Toowoomba, Queensland.

I was the EIC of the Toowoomba traveling live line team, and as such, played a big part in the planning and execution of safety-critical tasks.

Live Linesperson, August 2018 to August 2021.

Energy Queensland, Emerald, Queensland.

While a member of the Emerald live line team, I had a perfect safety record working with members of all depots in the Central West area.

Live Linesperson, October 2014 to August 2021.

Downer EDI, Melbourne, Victoria.

Working as a contractor, I learned a lot about job and time management while maintaining a very high standard of safety.

Linesperson, March 2013 to October 2014.

Western Power, Bridgetown, WA.

Being a very similar company to Energy Queensland, my time at Western Power proved to be a good learning experience on a different network.

Apprentice Linesperson, July 2009 to March 2013.

Energex, Caboolture, QLD.

Having worked in many states of Australia, I know firsthand that EQL-trained people are the standard in the distribution industry, and I have maintained that standard throughout my career.
