Luke Te Whata-McCall

Hello, My name is Luke and am seeking my first official part time/casual role.

Currently a Year 12 student at SBSHS; I love math, physics, and engineering.

I am friendly and outgoing; very observant, a quick learner and pay attention to detail.

I have a “glass half full approach to life” and enjoy interacting with people.

I have recently attended a 21 day Outward Bound course at Anakiwa New Zealand, one of New Zealand’s most challenging adventure courses. To complete the course, I had to show determination, courage, teamwork, and service to the community.

This course was a life altering experience for me. Being part of a 13 person "watchhouse"; I had to demonstrate patience, kindness, support and empathy; as well as leadership skills at times. Some of the experiences such a rock climbing, 4 day hikes, 3 day sailing/camping expeditions, as well as the 2 night "Solo's" in the bush; have given me great insight to what I can achieve and what is possible with hard work and determination.

In my spare time, I enjoy watersports, such as fishing and I am learning to surf; building model kits, and have a love of music, especially Jazz and Swing.

I am currently learning the Saxophone, Guitar, and Ukelele and am a member of the SBSHS Orchestra and Swing Band.

I live in Noosa Heads with my Mum and Dad and younger brother.
