• Commenced career with Carter Lauren as an apprentice, completing a 3-year carpentry apprenticeship and achieving full trade qualification with the company.
• Supervised and delivered domestic and commercial projects, including hotels, restaurants, bars, and high-end residential builds, from site set-out through to completion.
• Extensive hands-on carpentry experience across all stages of construction, including structural framing, formwork, roofing systems, fit-out, fix-out, and finishing works.
• Strong understanding of structural construction methods, working from architectural and engineering drawings to ensure compliance with NCC and project specifications.
• Led, supervised, and worked alongside site teams, subcontractors, and apprentices, driving productivity, accountability, and high workmanship standards.
• Coordinated multiple trades to ensure correct sequencing of works, minimise downtime, and meet tight commercial construction deadlines.
• Managed day-to-day site operations, including task allocation, progress tracking, and resolving on-site construction issues.
• Ensured strict adherence to WHS requirements, conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and enforcing safe work practices.
• Maintained high standards of quality control and defect management, particularly on hospitality fit-outs, ensuring finishes met client and design expectations.
• Remained hands-on when required to maintain momentum, solve problems, and deliver projects on time and to a high specification.
