Research Fellow (Site Implementation Coordinator)

  • Provide consistent local project support for the Replanting Birthing Trees (RBT) project for WA, in close consultation with Stan Perron.
  • Maintaining strategic communications with all RBT project team staff in WA and working collaboratively with the University of Melbourne RBT project team including the Victorian Site Coordinator.
  • Consult with and manage expectations of partner clinical and managerial staff at the implementation sites in Armadale and the Wheat Belt and assist in maintaining a consistent flow of information to Aboriginal community-controlled organizations and agencies, and Aboriginal communities as relevant.
  • Attend RBT project meetings and provide regular reports as requested on implementation progress.
  • Contribute to research across Ngangk Yira Institute for Change (NYIC) including strategies that integrate the RBT aims with the Institute’s broader research strategy to improve equity in Aboriginal maternal and infant and family health in the early years (first 2000 days).
  • Participate in the research aims as a valuable member of a research team, including active participation in the gathering and interpretation of data and reviewing with Aboriginal Researchers at NYIC to ensure diverse Aboriginal lenses are present in these activities.
