Acute hospital haemodialysis

• Fresenius dialysis machine setup

• Monitored patients' responses to dialysis treatment and reported any changes or adverse reactions to the physician.

Venipuncture and swab collection to 45-50 patients per shift.

• Collection of various bodily samples including; 24hr urine, bloods, skin & nail scrapings, skin swabs, two-hour gestational diabetes testing and assisted the doctor in the FNA (Fine Needle Aspiration) clinic
• Highly commended by management on the accuracy of labeling blood tubes including patient identification checks and documentation and highly commended in the monthly newsletter
• Confidently used the centrifuged system for blood specimens in test tubes to separate cells and sediment from blood serum
• Adapted well in a new country of residents with patients and peers

On-call general ward nursing within the main public hospital and several private hospitals throughout Christchurch, New Zealand.
