- Prepare and offer horses breakfast.
- Saddle horses and position them ready for a customer or guide to ride on a chosen trail.
- For fill chores given by lead hand e.g muck out fields, oil saddles, wash out and fill water troughs, clean feed buckets, offer medicated formula for ageing horses.
- Demonstrate on horseback how to mount safely, where to sit comfortably on the saddle, and how to drive the horse on the trail.
- Communicate clearly with clientele. Strike up conversation with them so the ride is more enjoyable. I get the opportunity to share the history of the horses being ridden and the paths and landmarks we ride on.
- After the ride we assist clientele to dismount.
- After the customers depart we unsaddle horses, water them down and give them a good brush.
- Release horses into paddock, feed out, for fill any further jobs then lock up.

My family and I moved to the Snowies in 2020. Since moving here and living on property I have developed a deep love for the land and animals. At present I am homeschooling along with my siblings. This has allowed me to become a self directed learner with excellent time management skills and allowed me to develop domestic skills far greater than my age group.
