Outside of my academic and professional pursuits, I am deeply committed to netball, where I have competed at a high level for several years I have had the privilege of representing the Burdekin Silverlinks Team for six seasons in the Townsville Premier League, which has significantly contributed to my personal and athletic growth As a member of the team, I’ve developed my skills while proudly representing the Burdekin region, and I aim to inspire the next generation of players Having served as captain of multiple teams, I have developed a strong understanding of the importance of leadership, team cohesion, and integrity These experiences have not only shaped me as a leader on the court but have also enhanced my ability to guide and inspire teams in all areas of my life In addition to my playing experience, I have volunteered extensively with Burdekin Netball, taking on roles as an umpire, coach, and mentor for young players These opportunities have allowed me to develop strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills while working with diverse groups
I have also had the honour of representing the North Queensland Region in the Northern Mendi Rays, a semi-professional netball team Competing at this level has deepened my commitment to athletic development and provided invaluable exposure to a high-performance environment
