As a Student in Nursing, I support the Registered Nurse in the provision of direct/indirect person-centred care as required. I am responsible for providing nursing care in a professional, safe, and compassionate manner within my scope of practice.

Achievements & Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe and quality healthcare within the scope of practice as a SIN.
  • Perform and report on outcomes of care delivery as delegated by the registered nurse.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and secure environment for staff and the recipients of healthcare services.
  • Assist with the personal hygiene and care of patients, including showering, toileting and assisting with feeding.
  • Attend to cleaning and changing of sheets for patients to maintain a clean environment.
  • Transferring and manual handling of patients to reposition.
