Summary

As a highly motivated practitioner, I conduct my teaching and leadership around my passionate belief that 'Every student deserves a great teacher, not by chance, but by design' . Through this belief, I aspire to provide opportunities for my colleagues and students to engage in quality learning experiences that is underpinned by evidence-based research and aligned to improving outcomes for all students. This is a belief that I have carried with me, across a variety of roles, throughout my eight year journey in education.

I am a skilled and knowledgeable practitioner with a passion for helping every student reach academic success, especially in the area of reading and literacy. My practice and passion is driven by the research aligned to the Science of Reading and effective pedagogy in order to create engaging learning experiences tailored to meet individual student needs.

I am a hardworking and enthusiastic educator with experience in leading and working collaboratively with teams to develop and implement evidence based instruction and practices, in alignment to curriculum, to support the success of all students.

I am currently registered and working in Queensland, with my application submitted to transfer back to New South Wales for the 2024 school year.
