Country Care Group is a family-owned and operated national business of service providers that distributes and sells a large range of innovative healthcare products for the Australian and International markets.

As the Warehouse manager my responsibilities and everyday task included:

• Cleaned and maintained warehouse in compliance
• Prepared orders for shipments by picking, packing and labelling merchandise
• Organised freight deliveries and collections. Freight companies i worked with included GTS, TNT, FedEx, Silver City Transport and Sprint
• Operated forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment to move goods quickly and safely.
• Assisted with stock takes and cycle counts to promote accurate inventory processes.
• Collaborating with other departments to optimize warehouse operations and keep production high.
• Trained new staff on job duties, company policies, and safety procedures.

During the time i worked for country care i also travelled around to the other stores to help train staff and set up Greenfield's and pre owned stores. I travelled to a number of stores which included, QLD (Lytton and Tween), Tasmania, Wangarratta, Bendigo, Berri and more.

K Care Healthcare Solutions is an Australian owned, family business, that manufactures, distributes and sells products to Hospital, Residential Aged Care and Community Care Organisations for both Australian and International markets.

I first started working for K Care as a general hand in the upholstery area. The everyday work included

• Cutting the vinyl/materials
• Using a staple gun
• Using a heat gun to mould and stretch the vinyl
• Using the glue gun to glue together the foam. This was used to create the backs, seat and arm rest for chairs
• Packing and packaging up the finished chairs

After a few months there i moved on to help in the welding area, the jobs i undertook were:

• Measure and cut metal pieces to correct length and angle to attain proper fit and alignment of pieces.
• Prepared surfaces for welding by smoothing and removing debris
• Cut, grinded and bend steel ready for the welders
• Cleaned material surfaces to remove dirt or excess acid using chemical solutions, wire brushes and grinders.
• Set up portable sandblasters and maintained a clean and safe work environment

I worked for Stead Shearing on and off for a number of years.

I travelled North and South of Balranald, NSW working suburban or camping out on the farming properties.

Duties & Tasks of a Roustabout/Shearing Shed Hand can included, assisting station hands to pen up sheep for shearing. Pick up the fleece after it has been removed from the sheep and throw it onto a large table for 'skirting' (process to remove stained or coloured pieces and skin from the wool)

My parent ran the Balranald caravan park for 7 years. During that time i would help around the caravan park with the everyday task, this included

• Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms and camping amenities
• Handled customer inquiries, answered telephone calls and checked emails
• Mowed lawns on a weekly basis and maintained gardens
• Handled equipment, chemicals, and materials properly and with caution.
• Used time management and efficient cleaning methods to have the rooms ready by a certain time

My Parents have their own commercial fishing business, which includes finishing for yabbies and carp. My Duties included:

• Driving the boat
• Sorting of fish and yabbies
• Cleaning the boat, work shed and facilities
• Sorted and cleaned fish/yabbies and stored in refrigerated or ice-filled containers

While i was at school i took on an after school job working at the local florist, the everyday task would included:

• Preparing new flowers for arrangements by stripping leaves below waterline, cutting new flowers and filling floral containers with water
• Inspected stock to identify shortages, replenish supply and maintain consistent inventory.
• Managed daily opening on weekends and closing during the week.
• Watering the plants daily
• Performed daily cash register opening and closing functions
