A highly dedicated and hard working professional, I bring diverse experience in nursing, correctional services, dental assisting and management. My recent completion of a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing serves as a testament to my hard work and commitment to advancing my knowledge and skills in the healthcare sector. I am dedicated and compassionate with experience in direct patient care, acute care and can work well in fast-paced environments. I have learnt to remain calm under pressure since working in corrections and have implemented this into high-stress situations within nursing. I have a passion in mental health and am excited to begin my career as a registered nurse. Healthcare professional with strong background in patient care and medical support. Known for collaborative work with medical teams to deliver high-quality care and adapt to evolving patient needs. Expertise in patient assessment and medication administration, along with compassionate care and reliability.
Throughout my professional journey, I have continuously demonstrated a strong commitment to the core values of SCHHS—Integrity, Accountability, Compassion, and Innovation. As a registered nurse, I am deeply passionate about both mental health and women’s health, including birth care. My diverse career has allowed me to adapt and thrive in various environments, each building on my ability to manage high-pressure situations and support complex needs. My experience in correctional services enhanced my ability to navigate high-stress environments and focus on safety and security while gaining valuable insights into mental health. This background has fostered my crisis management and de-escalation skills, which are crucial in healthcare settings. As a Practice Manager in dental (previously a dental assistant), I led a 5-chair dental surgery, honing my leadership and team management skills. I was responsible for training, developing a diverse team, and overseeing day-to-day operations, including social media marketing and budgeting. This role also involved managing KPIs, rosters, and staff, which helped me stay adaptable and results-focused. My passion for continuous learning has driven my diverse career path, from correctional services to dental management, and now to nursing which was where my end goal always was. I am dedicated to embracing new challenges and making meaningful contributions to patient care, particularly in mental health and women's health, as previously mentioned. The completion of my Bachelor's degree in Nursing from the University of Southern Queensland in November 2023 reflects my dedication to professional growth. I am now applying my knowledge and skills in a medical ward at Nambour General Hospital, actively pursuing my dream career as a nurse, where I can make a positive impact on patient outcomes and contribute to a compassionate, innovative healthcare environment. As my graduate program is now coming to an end I am hoping to now secure a position in the field I would like to explore and hope I can contribute to your team should you find my application suitable.
