Summary

Thank you for your consideration for a position in you organisation. My name is Magdalene Baines, I am a 38 year old woman with a diploma of Case Management & Community Services and a degree in Social Work/Sociology with a minors in Indigenous studies, Gender Studies and Writing at Victoria University. Youth work is incredibly important to me as I believe in the power of compassionate, community service. I would strongly back my ability to build positive client rapport, navigate diversity respectfully and focus on creating strong housing and home options for young people in OOHC. After working in Residential homes for over 3 years, I know how important stable and consistent Carers are for young people who have found themselves within the OOHC setting. I am passionate about working within the community providing advocacy, support and empowerment to vulnerable, marginalized individuals and young people. I am fascinated to learn more and expand my skill set. I believe I am a fast learner and extremely capable at taking on new tasks. Most of all I love to connect with people, their stories and their strengths. I love to work collaboratively, whilst learning from my peers and mentors. I look forward to your response with regards to this application and thank you for this opportunity.
