  • Remote Housing Project, Client: Department of Logistics and Infrastructure (DLI) Mai was the Civil Designer for multiple remote subdivisions including Angurugu, Yuelamu and Imanpa. Mai delivered detailed drawing packages including typical details and drainage plans, civil drawings, water and sewer reticulation plans, typical details and master servicing plans.
  • Stuart Highway and Schwarz Crescent Upgrade and Signalisation, Client: Department of Logistics and Infrastructure (DLI) Mai was the Civil Draftsperson for the detailed engineering design and documentation for the upgrades to the Stuart Highway and Schwarz Crescent Road link including associated infrastructure to accommodate the upgrade design. Mai delivered the drawing packages including road and drainage plans, civil drawings, typical details and master servicing plans.
  • Kyalla 117 Access Turn-in Upgrade - CHR/AUL Intersection Design, Client: Arnhem Earthmoving & Mechanical Mai was the Civil Designer for the Stuart Highway - Kyalla Access Road intersection which is a channelised right and auxiliary left turn lane from the Stuart Highway onto the access road. Mai delivered the detailed drawing packages including typical details, road and drainage plans and civil drawings.
  • Plunkett Road Blackspot Upgrade Project, Client: Logan City Council Mai was the civil draftsperson for the Plunkett Road Blackspot Upgrade project at Cedar Creek which included pavement widening and guardrail installation works to address several high risk and crash prone locations. Mai delivered the drawings including road and plan, civil drawings, typical details and master servicing plans.
  • Veivers Road Blackspot Upgrade Project, Client: Logan City Council Mai was the civil draftsperson for the Veivers Road Blackspot Upgrade project at Cedar Creek, which included pavement widening and guardrail installation works to address several high risk and crash prone locations. Mai delivered the drawings including road plan, civil drawings, typical details and master servicing plans.
  • Intersection Upgrade and Shared Path at Duringan Street Currumbin, Client: City of Gold Coast (CoGC) Mai was the civil draftsperson for the signalised urban intersection upgrade and active transport facilities at Duringan Street, Currumbin. A key driver of the project was enhancing pedestrian safety, particularly for students at a nearby school, while also improving connectivity to key local destinations. Mai delivered the drawings including road and plan, civil drawings, typical details and master servicing plans.

  • Inter-Island Resilient Connection Project (iReX), Wellington & Picton Ferry Terminals, Client: KiwiRail Mai was the Modeller/Draftsperson for the redevelopment of the ferry terminals at Wellington and Picton, including new wharves, new terminal buildings and related civil infrastructure to cater for the two new ferries. Mai delivered Civil3D modelling for rail drainage networks, design drawings and input to digital engineering standards for drawings and document controls.
  • Timaru to St Andrews Safety Improvement Program, Client: Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) Mai was the draftsperson for the Timaru to St Andrews Safety Improvement Program aimed to enhance safety along a 12.5km stretch of State Highway 1 between Timaru and St Andrews in New Zealand's South Island, this included safety measures, such as roundabouts, road widening, median and edge barriers, audio tactile paving, and shoulder widening. Mai delivered 3D drainage modelling in OpenRoads Designer and 2D drafting in MicroStation.
  • Papakura to Pukekohe (P2P), Client: KiwiRail Mai was the draftsperson for the W2QP and P2P projects as part of the Auckland Metro Upgrade Program to increase capacity and flexibility, and make the network more efficient, convenient, and sustainable, with electric train services connecting the fast-growing southern suburbs with the central city. Mai delivered the Civil3D modelling and design drawings.
  • Wiri to Quay Park (W2QP), Client: KiwiRail Mai was the draftsperson for a new third main rail line project, over approximately 5km within the existing rail corridor, servicing Wiri, Westfield, Quay Park, and Middlemore. Mai delivered Civil3D modelling of the rail drainage network and design drawings.
  • Rolleston Access Improvements Detailed Business Case, Client: Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) Detailed Business Case to identify a preferred option to improve connections for people between the residential and industrial sides of Rolleston for cyclists, pedestrians, buses and local traffic across the highway. Mai was responsible for all disciplines of drawings in AutoCAD/Civil3D format.
  • AB Lime Landfill, Client: AB Lime The AB Lime Landfill is a solid waste landfill constructed on the base of an excavated limestone quarry in Winton, Southland. The project included geotechnical, environmental, stormwater and transport aspects of landfill design and operation. Mai provided Civil3D modelling for surfaces, carried out earthwork volume calculations for the project and was responsible for 2D drafting.
  • Christchurch Northern Corridor (CNC), Client: Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) The CNC project delivered a highway extension connecting the Northern Motorway to Christchurch City. The project involved the construction of a new four-lane motorway, upgrading Queen Elizabeth II Drive and Cranford Street to four lanes, and constructing off-road pedestrian and cycle facilities. Mai provided drafting of drawing sets while following CNC Alliance drafting standards. She ensured that the project deadlines were met by proactively assisting the team with various drawing packages, including road geometry, signage and line marking, long sections, road cross sections, typical details, intelligent transport systems, traffic signals, retaining walls and drainage. She was also responsible for completing whole as-built drawings packages with over 5000 drawings, working with the Global Integrated Delivery Coordinator (GID).

  • North Canterbury Transport Infrastructure Recovery (NCTIR), Client: Christchurch City Council NCTIR was an organisation for recovery from the 2016 Kaikoura earthquake. Mai moved to NCTIR after completing her role in SCIRT. She was responsible for civil drawings production and provided drafting support for civil engineers.
