  • Document new knowledge from troubleshooting new issues or new processes. Updating exiting knowledge base to be up to date with changing technologies or processes.
  • Perform Java virtual machine performance troubleshooting. Analyzing garbage collection and heap dumps to to detect and underlining performance and provide recommendation to resolve them.

  • Manage and communicate on incidents and outages reported in test environment. Coordinating and involving the required teams needed to resolve outages.

  • Integrate telecommunication 4G data network for MTN Nigeria, one of the largest operators in Africa. This involves upgrades of existing network elements to installation and expansion of services to new sites improve capacity and redundancy. My roles involves planning, preparing the necessary configuration and implementing the configurations. Where third party installers are used my roles involves supervising the installation to make sure they meet the required standard.
  • Integrating new network security elements(Ex IPWORKS Authentication, Authorisation and Accounting network element. Part of the project involves integrating new security elements or configurations to improve security of the network and subscribers. They role I played was to review existing configuration, plan and prepare new or updated configuration to meet project objectives.
  • Prepare and execute acceptance test with customer team and ensure all issues arising are resolved in a timely manner and up to the requirements of the customer.
  • Document project deliverables and manage the flow of the information as per project guidelines. Ensuring project artifacts like lessons learned document and properly completed.
  • One of my key achievement on this project was the planning, design and implementation of an active select DNS service. The service used health metric to select DNS service increasing resiliency for the customer's IP multimedia subsystem services.

  • Resolve customer High and Emergency severity cases involving telecommunication packet data network for customer within Middle East and Sub Saharan Africa. In the case of emergency severity cases my role involved coordinating other engineers in a war room for inter domain issues. Ensuring issues are resolved within agreed SLA. Some network element within my domain included (Extreme Network Switches, Juniper SRX Firewalls and various telecom data network nodes)
  • Performing software audits on customer networks and providing recommendation to fix or resolve issues identified based. This involves collecting data from customer network and reviewing the information to identify Security, performance and configuration improvements.
  • As part of this role, I provided onsite support for telecoms provider called MTN Rwanda. My role involved planning and implementation of network security (Juniper SRX firewalls) configurations for the integration of new payment platforms and services for cashless services called mobile money.
  • Deliver workshop on emergency prevention to customer engineers. The focus is to enhance their knowledge on best practises in network monitoring and operation to help reduce emergencies and improve resolution time for emergencies reported.
  • On of my key achievements is implementing network and security configuration to integrate a new service that uses cell signals to estimate and enhance road traffic reporting.

Where a request for enhancement is requested, my role was to coordinate between developers to ensure it enhancement is delivered within time and meets customer requirements.
  • My key achievement in this role was leading the installation of new voicemail service for operator Vodafone Ghana.
