A dynamic Temporary Relief Teacher with extensive experience in middle and primary education, specializing in classroom management, interactive and traditional teaching methods, and differentiated instruction. Proven success in fostering positive learning environments and enhancing student engagement through innovative lesson planning and technology integration. Committed to continuous professional development and collaboration. Open, friendly, receptive to (sensible and responsible) student suggestions or ideas, knows the curriculum well and can modify lessons to meet students' needs. Able to easily pick up where teachers have left ff and run with own planned lessons (or, as a TRT) the classroom teachers' if notes are available. Keenly monitor students' learning and progress. Never sits at the teacher's desk; always sits amongst students, constantly moving amongst them to help them either individually or as a small group.
Was offered and took several short-term contracts since 2018 and one full-year contract (2022) as a Science NIT teacher.
As TRT, I mostly taught the middle and primary years but also had a number of stints in R-1 year, Year 1-2, Year 3-4 (mostly) and Year 5-6 (mostly).
Where I had NIT allocation, I either marked student work, prepared lessons or volunteered to relieve teachers in other classes if they need one-lesson relieving.
Undertook Physical Ed. role when needed. Set up equipment, put away equipment, and besides P.E., also engaged students in health science lessons.
Also volunteered to help teach weak students and extend promising ones a couple of hours per week, time permitting.
