I have broad experience in the gold and copper processing areas such as crushing, conveying and grinding circuit for more than a decades. My key responsibilities include: training and coaching process operators and local trainees, supervising and allocating work, planning for short- and long-term equipment maintenance, ensuring maximum availability on the production equipment and meeting daily targets, managing equipment isolations/schedules together with permit systems on scheduled shut downs without any delays and safety issues, supervising day to day running of the process plant and equipment isolations and issuing works permits for maintenance crews as required, conducting crew tool box meetings, identifying faulty equipment and reporting through work management system for repairs, developing and reviewing isolation registration sheets (IRS), developing/reviewing safe operating (SOP's) for equipment operations, safe chemical handling, establishing work procedures and writing up job hazard analysis (JHA) as required, openly discussing production related issues with peer workers and all maintenance functions such as mechanical, electrical, planning and reliability group.
