As a student nurse, I completed several clinical placement during my degree, where I learned a variety of skills from my supervisors, colleagues, and facilitators. I have incorporated work habits from past paid employment into my work ethic. These habits include having strong communication skills, the capacity to work well in a team, the capacity to handle stress, and the capacity to listen with empathy. As a registered nurse, I will be able to use these abilities to communicate with residents, staff, and families and provide person-centred care. I believe that these are fundamental talents that one must incorporate into their work life for a successful career.
