Work History

05.2022 - Current
  • I work on our family farm in Primary production of sheep, cattle, silver perch, and horses while I completed the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (completed on 2024-11-15), with a focus on emergency response, first aid and CPR, as well as Manual Handling and WH&S. I am self-employed in NDIS report writing for client behavioural therapy care planning, and creation of support service invoices for NDIS support workers. I currently provide a free community service to help people through their NDIS ‘eligibility checker’ and assist them in preparation for their call from NDIS if qualifying to assist them to have their plan developed so that is suits their needs, addresses unmet needs, and allows them to attain the funding required to gain support to achieve their goals. I also manage the bookkeeping and tax for my spouse's Electrical Business. I currently am tutoring my spouse who is also employed as a support worker (outside of his electrical contract work and health service equipment supply officer), in the completion of his certificate III in Individual Support for disability and aged care. I tutored my eldest son through his first year of University in Medical Science until he took a contacted position as a ‘fellerbuncher’ tree harvester position with KiLand. When he returns to university he will change to Speech Pathology where I will then again be a learning resource for him. Two of my children are challenged by Autism, so teaching and training / assessment amongst diversity is a strength I possess in addition to my clinical and managerial nursing background. I am currently on leave from Kiland as a koala spotter for the feller buncher crew of machinery operators and care of koalas. I am responsible for the harvesting crew’s observation and notification of koala sightings to prevent tree felling, first aid and emergency response with direction to move to testing the carbon levels in the harvested trees after they have been processed by the Char Mill. Additionally, I write applications for grant funding for my own and for others who wish to extend themselves with further studies, or for Primary Health Care Initiatives.

Additional Information

Good team work, trying to reach a common goal is important for me for great outcomes. I don't want to put people from the community together anymore for viewings when SAPOL bring them in. 23 years of that has been enough, and ita unhealthy for one to do constantly. I am empathetic and caring of needs.
