Offshore Product Developer

  • Responsible for setting up season style trackers, collaborating with patternmakers to gather information. Update with any changes during design development to ensure they are tracked and recorded.
  • Set up BOM for all styles in the range, communicate with Production team with any changes.
  • Allocate style numbers for the range and develop the range sheet for the season, turning all the Designers hand sketches into CADs.
  • Attend fittings with the Designer and Patternmakers, taking notes to track any alterations or changes is design
  • Collaborate with Designer/Patternmakers on fittings after each session to have clear process of fit note deliveries
  • Track the process of grading for each style and handover variants to Production as they are signed off by Patternmakers to meet cutting timelines.
  • Oversee the production of samples, making sure cut work is distributed ahead of time to sample cutters/machinists and patternmakers have updated range sheet/fit notes for the season
  • Support with sample cutting if necessary
  • Responsible for the oversight of all sampling inventories/handovers to Production and PR each season
  • Liaising and supporting with communication with local makers
  • Schedule maintenance for equipment such as sewing machines, iron and scissor sharpening
  • Assisted in training new cutters, ensuring they were well-versed in company procedures and best practices
  • Digitize patterns done by hand.
  • Grade simple patterns using Gerber.
