I’m Maria and I am on a working holiday visa. I have 7 years of experience in luxury retail and in between in the salon sector as a receptionist at a beauty clinic and self employment at a salon. I have worked for Parfums Christian Dior for nearly 6 years in total as an ambassador and more than 2 years as manager. I’ve also worked in most retailers in the UK including Harrods Beauty, House of Fraser, Boots and Debenhams. This helped with delivering strategic consulting services to enhance client business operations. Utilized in-depth industry knowledge and analytical skills to identify and implement effective solutions by using booking systems such as LVMH IPOS and treatwell. Track record of building strong client relationships and driving measurable results. I created personal relationships with my clients, adding them to loyalty programmes, taking personal details and noting what they have been purchasing as well as interests which helps us for future visits and to show we value them. This also allows them to try new products, offering individual consultations and we’re able to let them know of exclusive offers especially if we have to make up for footfall. I invite clients to events, return appointments made straight after their purchase, making phone calls for reminders, to ensure their return and they are satisfied with service. Another valued skill is being able to communicate by speaking clearly and listening carefully towards clients as well as team members to create a nice working environment and atmosphere. I’ve had the same team on and off for years and have worked well together. Due to restrictions during COVID, I went through closures of stores therefore had to go back as an ambassador with parfums christian dior after being an account manager. In this time I had experience being a receptionist at a beauty clinic and after opened my own business as a lash technician for a few months until was offered management position again.
