With over 20 years of comprehensive experience in the aged care sector, I have advanced through various roles to become a Registered Nurse. I am committed to lifelong learning, currently enrolled in Infection Prevention and Control (IPIC) certification, and pursuing a Certificate in Clinical Nursing with a Major in Gerontology.
My natural caring nature allows me to interact with residents and families with a deserved and expected level of empathy and compassion. As a reliable team player and proven leader, I excel in developing comprehensive healthcare plans and effectively communicating with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. My strong time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills empower me to manage multiple cases concurrently, ensuring attention to detail and the highest quality of care.
Driven by a passion for fostering positive patient engagement and a commitment to adhering to organizational standards in care and The AN-ACC Funding model, I am eager to contribute to the nursing team and enhance the quality of life for those in our care.
Prior Experience: I commenced my career in the Royal Australian Air Force RAAF in 1989 as a cook, working in RAAF Bases across SA, NSW, and QLD.
I left this role 2000 to travel and work with my husband and children in Saudi Arabia. I worked in early childcare at the Little Jewels Nursery in Dhahran and Stepping Stones Nursery in Khamis Mushayt. This was a fantastic opportunity to work while experiencing a new culture.
