Resourcing Advisor (Talent Acquisition Partner)

Working within the Talent Acquisition team at Evolution Mining, leading recruitment for critical and hard-to-fill roles, senior site leadership roles (Superintendent and Manager level) and corporate office-based roles.

  • Managing end to end recruitment of critical and hard to fill roles across Evolution mining as well as senior site leadership roles (Superintendent and Manager level). I also recruit roles within the Evolution Sydney and Brisbane corporate offices up to General Manager level.
  • Pro-active sourcing using LinkedIn Recruiter, Seek Talent Search, networking, talent pooling and other sourcing methods.
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders across the Evolution business, at multiple levels of the business including site General Managers and executive business leadership, managing relationships and expectations.
  • Using SAP Success Factors to track and manage candidates through the recruitment process.
  • Work alongside Evolution People & Culture teams, site and corporate group based, and the People & Culture Hub to understand business needs and progress candidates through the offer and onboarding process.
  • Working collaboratively with the Talent team to identify critical roles within Evolution where there are limited pipelines of internal talent and creating external identified pipelines of talent to meet future business requirements and reduce time to fill.
  • Working on initiatives to attract diverse talent and promote inclusivity, and ensuring these initiatives and considered throughout my recruitment processes.

Project Lead – People Matters (Professional and Leadership Development project)

Working as part of the Leadership and Professional Development team, leading the People Matters project aimed at providing new resources and programs to support leaders at Newcrest, set them up for success, and provide a framework for future accountability and recognition.

  • Working with key stakeholders across the Newcrest business at a group and site level, as well as external partners.
  • Delivered a People Leader Portal within the Newcrest intranet, which houses key leadership information within a toolbox, site information pages, and hints and tips sections, working with multiple stakeholders within Newcrest as well as external partners to ensure the portal was useful, intuitive, and future ready.
  • Developed an interactive model combining Newcrest leadership behaviours, values, aspirations and inclusive cultural elements.
  • Created new content for inclusion in the People Leader portal, including conversation and one-page task guides.
  • Worked with Cadia (Newcrest mine site) HR and Training to develop “A Day in the Life” leadership training program for those stepping into a people leadership role, or people who are new to leading at Newcrest.
  • Running focus groups and feedback sessions with key groups of Newcrest employees.
  • Presenting regularly to both small and large groups.
  • Part of the pilot team for the rollout of LinkedIn Learning across Newcrest, and curation of a suite of online learning resources for leaders.
  • Provided support to the Senior Advisor – Organisational Development as required for the Newcrest Vacation and Graduate programs.

Talent Management Partner (Secondment)

Working within the Talent Management team, supporting the administration and development of the Vacation Student and Graduate Programs, and working as a project member and lead on key Newcrest Talent related projects.

  • Managing the Newcrest Vacation Student program for summer 2019/2020, working with key Stakeholders across the business to ensure that 22 Vacation Students were effectively onboarded and provided with development opportunities during their time with Newcrest.
  • Supporting the further development and optimisation of the Newcrest Graduate program.
  • People team lead of the Job Family Architecture and Career Path Sublevel project, developing a new Job Family structure, working with key stakeholders to ensure that changes to Newcrest SAP and Success Factors structures were fit for purpose at both a central and site level, and working to deadlines for project implementation.
  • Working with the Head of Talent and Capability to develop and implement the Newcrest Career Insights tool, an interactive tool designed to enable Newcrest employees to better understand roles and opportunities within Newcrest, map out possible career pathways, identify opportunities for development of skills and experience required to move into new roles, and assist People Leaders to coach and develop their reports.

Working within the Talent Acquisition team at Newcrest Mining Ltd., Australia’s leading Gold mining company, primarily focused on end to end recruitment of roles for the Newcrest corporate head office and Australian and international mine sites.

  • Managing end to end recruitment of level 2 (Supervisor, Specialist and Superintendent) and 3 (Manager) roles within Newcrest.
  • Working on roles across a variety of functions and departments, and all Newcrest sites.
  • Sourcing candidates through advertising, and proactive methods such as LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Making sure that all candidate and role information kept accurate and up to date in order to accurately report on team performance.
  • Utilising PageUp (Newcrest ATS).
  • Stakeholder engagement and management.
  • Working within small project teams on projects designed to improve and streamline the talent acquisition process.
