Lisa Forbes Speech Pathologists and Associates   November – December 2021 

Mobile community placement included assessment and therapy for adult clients with developmental and acquired neurological conditions in residential aged care facilities, disability group homes and clients’ homes. 


Macquarie University Speech and Hearing Clinic   August - November 2021 

Speech, language and fluency therapy and assessment provided to paediatric clients aged 3 years to 12 years in clinic and via telehealth.


Royal North Shore Hospital   February – June 2021

Acute assessment and intervention for adult inpatients. Conducted dysphagia assessments in ICU and contributed to FEES and MBS instrumental assessments. Implemented voice therapy with patients with spinal cord injuries and assessed language and motor speech disorders. Liaised with multidisciplinary team including resident doctors and Audiologist. 


Wagga  Wagga Community Health Centre   January – February 2021

5-week placement providing therapy and assessment to paediatric clients. Observed paediatric MBS assessment in Wagga Wagga hospital. Gained insight into the crucial role speech pathologists play in providing regional healthcare services.


Mount Wilga Rehabilitation Hospital   August – November 2020

Assessed and treatment for adult inpatients and day program outpatients with motor speech disorders, aphasia, cognitive communication disorders and dysphagia. Worked with a French interpreter to care for CALD patients and conducted informal LSVT assessment for clients with Parkinson’s disease. Ran group language therapy for post-stroke clients.
