Performed front line activities from January 1990 to 2022. From Constable to Senior Constable until promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2004, working both within the metropolitan and rural areas of the state.

Chaired weekly meetings with Custer Supervisors (S/Sgts) and received and directed reports to ensure resources are used appropriately and in line with corporate expectations.
Reviewed HR issues across the region, including workers comp, workers welfare who were exposed to serious incidents, LTIs and return to work programs.
Ensured compliance with Public Service Finance requirements by reviewing all expenditure requests and approvals daily, ensuring costs are appropriately submitted and rejected those where discrepancies were identified.
Provided daily briefings to the Assistant Commissioner on Traffic and Highway Patrol activities any significant matters of interest within the previous 24hrs.
At the request of the Assistant Commissioner, provided operational strategies for General Duties Police within the Region for the upcoming statewide traffic operation Safe Arrival of 2019/2020.
Maintained sensitive information regarding internal investigations and complaints management.
Completed mentor reports for several officers currently under investigation for internal and external matters including a Senior Sergeant.
Liaised with Commander of Metropolitan Highway Patrol regularly and provided advice regarding an internal investigation involving a senior officer who was currently suspended.

As the situation heightened on the South Coast, I co-ordinated the deployment additional resources to assist within the South Region at short notice whilst maintaining the police presence in South West Region.
Additional Police were required in the Bungonia area as fires were impacting the town. I arranged for the deployment of more resources to the area.
Ensured that staff were supplied with appropriate resources and PPE at all times prior to deployment to the fire grounds. Managed the impact upon staff who were exposed by excessive demands and provided relief where necessary.
Provided detailed and regular updates to the Police Executive's including the Deputy Commissioner and numerous Superintendents and Inspectors regarding our resources and intended deployments.
Showed leadership by personally attending the fire grounds at Picton and surrounds to thank the officers involved and check on their welfare, providing any assistance as necessary.
Recommended to the Police Executive to alter the way in which staff were deployed to reduce fatigue and the ability to deploy at short notice. This recommendation was accepted resulting in a more effective response and increased the safety of well being of staff.
Conducted a comprehensive debrief with Region staff as well as the Police Executive at the conclusion of the fire event.
I received overwhelming praise and appreciation from the Police Executive and my peers for the period of relieving.
