Power distribution - Installing conductors from underground Sub stations to DB's and then out to mining equipment such as Fan starters, pumps and Drill starters.

Terminations - Glanding SWA cables, terminating cables. Testing cables.

Livening and Commissioning - Livening electrical equipment for commissioning equipment into use. This includes testing of equipment as mentioned earlier.

Maintenance - performing scheduled maintenance on underground plant equipment such as production drills and longhole drills.

Breakdowns - attending breakdowns in a timely manner of underground equiment to troubleshoot electrical faults and either get the equipment back into service where possible or replace equipment.

Documentation - keep an up to date record of all work performed underground, including test sheets, updated single line diagrams and asset registers.

General duties include, but not limited to:

• Measured, cut and Installed power and control cables
• Measured, cut Installed Cable ladder
• Installed Lights
• Bent, cut and installed Galv conduit
• Labelled and Terminated LV and ELV equipment
• Interpreting electrical drawings for above installation requirements

General skills include, but not limited to:

• Managed time efficiently in order to complete all tasks within deadlines.
• Paid attention to detail while completing assignments.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

General duties include, but not limited to:

• Measured, cut Installed Cable ladder

• Bent, cut and installed Galv conduit
• Labelled and Terminated LV and ELV equipment
• Interpreting electrical drawings for above installation requirements

• Gained valuable insight into how the mining and FIFO industry works.

• Boxman - Roller door automation and crane integration
• Procurement of cables and equipment
• Lead a team of up to 10 guys in installing power and control cabling for 40 garage doors including fitting off, testing and commissioning of doors to work in conjunction with the crane.
• The project was delivered on time and on budget and are now Boxmans preferred electricians for future projects and have since done various other servicing jobs at the Boxman site in Christchurch.
• Ballance Agrinutrients - Wiring 2 urea ribbon mixer skids for Ballance plants in Timaru and Midhirst.
• Procurement of cables and equipment
• Lead a team of up to 7 guys in installing power and control cabling for 2 urea ribbon mixer skids including fitting off, testing and commissioning skids in conjunction with the automation engineers and fitters.
• This was the 4th and 5th skid EIS had wired for Ballance but was the first project where we had been the lead contractor also responsible for designing the skids alongside Ballance and contracting an engineering firm to build and fabricate the steel work for the skids.
• This project was delivered on time and budget and Ballance have approached us to produce more of these skids for other plants around the country.
• SMS - wiring of 3 skids for Fonterra projects in Palmerston North.
• Procurement of cables and equipment
• Installing power and control cabling to the 3 skids, including testing and commissioning the skids in conjunction with the engineering team from SMS.

• Installed and commissioned electrical equipment such as VSD's, analogue/digital instruments, PLC's, motors and lighting.
• Repaired and replaced equipment, electrical wiring and fixtures.
• Adhered closely to AS/NZS 3000 and ESR 2010 regulations and industry best practices.
• Prevented breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and cleaning circuits.
• Interpreted drawings, wiring diagrams, flow charts and written descriptions of project requirements.
• Leading hand on various projects, in charge of providing work for up to 10 electricians/apprentices.
• Installed, maintained and repaired electrical wiring, controls and lighting systems.
