· Provide input to the Tiwi Island Management Team in relation to specifications and standards pertinent to harvesting, haulage and port programs.

· Maintain a close working relationship with contractors and act as an effective communication link regarding operational functions of the Project.

· Liaise with Traditional Owners and communities, as required, to foster good relationships and positive outcomes for the Project.

· Manage a range of harvesting activities such as; harvesting operations, haulage operations, roading relating to harvesting operations, quarantine inspections and on-site waste management and on-site threatened species management.

· Oversee weekly and monthly checks in line with PMP’s Actions Register and Preventative Maintenance Schedule (e.g. Harvesting/Haulage Monthly Checks, Heavy Machinery Pre-Start Checks).

· Recognise areas of innovation and opportunity and implement initiatives.

· Assist the Operations Department as required.

· Supervise and mentor Tiwi employees, particularly in relation to learning, training and developmental tasks to assist them to participate to their full potential.

· Manage Tiwi recruitment, retention, career management and development strategies.

· Actively manage cultural issues affecting employment conditions and performance with Tiwi employees.

· Participate in community events and where required, undertake public speaking appearances.

· Develop an understanding of the Tiwi relationship with their land and the connections with land use and good land management.
