Summary
Always looking to progress and better myself. Starting as a Carpenter moving onto a Supervisor role then progressing to a Project Manager I now have moved into the exciting role as a Trainee Supervisor for a Tier 1 open pit mine / Quarry. In this position I play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of heavy machinery on 2 mining sites. My responsibilities include overseeing the work of operators, ensuring that all equipment is used safely and effectively, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations. Whilst also focusing on productivity. Also helping out when short staffed by jumping into the machines and operating where needed. I collaborate with experienced supervisors and the management team to develop my skills in site management, equipment maintenance, and team leadership. In this role, it's essential to have a strong understanding of the mechanics of each piece of equipment and to be able to troubleshoot minor issues that arise. Additionally, effective communication and organisational skills are key, as i'm coordinating between different plant set ups and ensuring that productivity stays on track. As I gain experience, I strive to become an integral part of the operation's success, contributing to productivity and safety on-site.
