• Unload as part of an 8 man crew interstate freight, a normal day would see 10 to 16 B-double trailers in an 8 hour shift
• Load freight for metropolitan delivery onto rigid trucks including pre booked freight deliveries with time slots allocated
• Load bulk freight onto semi trailers for local deliveries including pre booked freight with timeslots allocated
• Locate and load freight being picked up by customers at the depot including couriers and sub contracted truck companies
• Receive and dispatch grinding media(60 and 80 millimetre steel carbon coated balls) for delivery to North Parkes mine to be used in a sag mill using a wheeled front loader
• Correct and wrap damaged pallets or pallets that have shifted during transport using a pallet wrapping machine
• Housekeeping and cleaning when time allowed as the flow of work is constant.

• Perform various short term assignments at various sites in warehousing forklift operation and logistics

• Load semi trailers both single and b-double with Gyprock plaster board in pack form {50 to 60 sheets in each} in lengths ranging from 2.4 metres to 6.0 metres, average full load weights ranging from 21 to 34 tonnes
• Load associated CSR Building products like Fibre Cement, Rondo Steel products and pallets of Gyprock plastic buckets/20 kg bag powder products such as Base coat 45 and 90, used to fill Gyprock joints
• Perform duties in 3 rotating shifts day/afternoon/night with occasional saturday work
• Pick houselots for passup on building sites in teams of two men and place in storage racking until truck is ready to be loaded.

• Serve retail customers with petrol, oil, cigarettes, drinks and confectionary
• Operate cash register, customer 30 day accounts recording, fill out records of stock sold on daily basis (pre computerised system) as well as perform end of day reports
• Monitor stock levels such as Cigarettes, drinks, sweets, oil, Bulk fuel (dip underground tanks to record level in litres)
• Order and pick up parts for the mechanical workshop
• General cleaning duties, maintain customer toilets, arrange and clean customer showroom, empty bins and clean and put away workshop hand tools and equipment
• Help around the workshop performing mechanical repairs, scheduled servicing, fix/repair/change tyres using air operated tyre machine and tubeless repair safety seal plug kit, wash and minor detail vehicles prior to customer pick up.
