Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) is one of the top travel groups with a broad range of corporate and leisure travel sales. At flight centre my primarily worked as a Tester on hotel reservations space making overall improvements on the existing hotel products while delivering new feature to customers.

Below are a list of tasks I carried out within the hotel space as a Test Analyst.

  • Conduct system, integration, regression, smoke, and functional testing.
  • Executed various types of tests such as positive and negative, boundary value analysis, and exploratory.

Information System Associates (ISA) is a company which develop and maintain a Passenger Service System(PSS) that help airlines manage all passenger related operations from reservations to departure control including crew management. Additionally it include Multi-channel booking distribution(IBE/XBE/XML API/Mobile Application/GDS), Multilingual Internet Booking Engine, Ancillary services management, Complete Inventory Management, Flights schedule Management, Multiple Payment options(Agent Account/Credit Card/BSP), Role/privilege based access control, Comprehensive reporting, Pre and post flight message processing, Flight and hotel reservation packages.

The main product is a Java based software application that uses a range of technologies including Javascript, Oracle and Postgres sql as Database, GRPC protobuf, soap API/postman API applications for web services, Jenkins as CI/CD for build pipeline.

As a senior Quality Assurance Analyst at ISA my tasks included:

  • Participate in project kick off meetings with software developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, UX Designers prior to a Change request is implemented and discuss the requirements of the Change requests made by the clients.
  • Analyse and verify best test approaches to execute smoke, system, Integration and regression testing. Perform functional, UI and Integration Testing per business requirements to ensure appropriate validation and verification methods are applied to ensure desired delivery.
  • Analyse, Coordinate test results, procedures and application specification to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action.
  • Analyse user stories and raise questions to Product Manager/Product owner relating to the requirements of the user stories.
  • Support the product development team in the sprint planning by providing them with results of the testing scenarios to consider in their final artwork or in alternative solutions.
