I joined the organisation as a TA Manager. This role is focussed on running operational recruiting, uplifting talent acquisition function and redesigning operating model. I have joined the business at a time of re-building a function.

My responsibilities include;

- Lead talent acquisition team; comprised of TA Partners & Talent Scout

- Develop talent acquisition strategy, re-designed operating model & rules of engagement

- Redesigned the recruiting process workflow from scratch which has resulted in dramatic improvement in time to hire, candidate experience & operational excellence

- Build out business partnership cadence to support transforming from reactive function to a talent advisory function

- Designed & implemented Talent Scout model which has had a big increase in quality of hire/ speed of hire & building data insights into the sourcing funnel

- Transformed TA Partner's ways of working from offline to a process embedded into our ATS

- Manage team performance and built our team metrics, goals and individual career plans

- Created a supportive, fun & learning focussed team culture

- Use data to influence business & present accurate reporting & insights on a regular basis

I joined Splunk as the first Senior Talent Acquisition Partner in the region and have been successful in building the talent brand, capabilities & team. Throughout my tenure, I have grown headcount on average of 50% YoY.

Reason for Leaving: As as result of global redundancy initiative, Splunk consolidated Leadership roles and my role was made redundant, along with many of my peers.

My key responsibilities included;

  • Led the talent acquisition function for the Australia/ New Zealand region (60% GTM/ 25% Engineering/ 15% Corporate) and broader APJ team, when required
  • Hiring for leadership across APJ region as well as critical roles across technology & GTM.
  • Full responsibility for team leadership from resource planning, performance management, career development, coaching, managing escalations and incorporating fun into our team
  • Built out hiring & people processes from scratch to ensure a consistent and equitable hiring & decision making experience
  • Key talent advisor to Exec level stakeholders such as VP APAC, GVP ANZ, AVP Customer Success, AVP Sales Engineering etc

  • Created the DevOps Girls community in partnership with our Global Infrastructure Manager, which resulted in a significant improvement of our brand in the external tech community and gender hires. This is still a thriving community today, which has supported females in technology
