Collaborative Projects

Holographic Messages / MIRCOgram / Breakthrough Starshot / Golden Holograms  with scientists from NASA, Savannah River National Laboratory and City University of New York. This collaborative research proposed methods for creating ultra-light large-aperture holographic reflectors for spacecraft antennas that could increase science data return and on a different scale,  holographic beam steering methods for laser propelled micro-craft.  A tangential project involved creating holograms with artist C Bangs and the Space Systems Design Studio at Cornell Tech for the 1U Alpha CubeSat. These projects included questioning what information could and should be included on deep space probes.

Draw Within Water with Sky Rolnick, echo3D, Keith Patchel and multiple artists.  Development of an augmented reality installation that enabled collaborative drawing within a headset experience accompanied by take-home mobile augmented stickers. The project contributed to research on virtual tools for creative engagement. Launched at HoloCenter on Governors Island, New York, September 2019 and published through Medium.
Wholeness and the Implicit Order, mentor and technical artist for Julia deVille producing three series of holograms for the Linden New Art exhibition in Melbourne, 2018.
Institutional Memory: 35mm Slides from the Met’s Collection Reimagined, invited artists for a collaborative project between the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Materials for the Arts.  I created an installation of montaged slides for the exhibition at the Materials for the Arts (March-June, 2017) and designed the workshop ‘Art Slide Remix’ for Teens Take the Met.
