- Company Overview: The PPCR was an integral part of Zambia’s effort to respond to climate change with the aim to strengthen institutional framework for climate resilience and improve the adaptive capacity of vulnerable communities across 25 districts in Barotse (SCReBs) and Kafue (SCRiKA) sub-basin with funding from the Climate Investment Fund.
- My role on the projects contributed towards the implementation of environmental and social safeguards, monitor mitigation measures and ensure that projects implemented increase adaptive capacities and builds resilience of beneficiaries to climate change impacts and are gender inclusive.
- Implementing districts comply with environmental and social safeguards in accordance with the best practices and guidelines set out in the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP), Resettlement Policy Framework (RPF) and Pest Management Plan (PMP) of the PPCR and as guided by Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA).
- Conducted performance monitoring of project under implementation to assess the physical progress made on the projects following the disbursement of funds and generated a report based on the findings.
