  • Strengthen Kiribati's international advocacy of national priorities and positions in bilateral, regional, multilateral and international platforms including leading technical negotiations on behalf of Kiribati as required.
  • Participate as alternate Member on regional committees such as the Forum Officials Committee (PIF) and the Council of Representatives of Governments and Administrations (SPC)
  • Work closely with the National Economic Planning Office to manage the coordination of international aid and development assistance including with other relevant beneficiaries of aid to monitor implementation and progress in support of the Kiribati Development Plan and the Kiribati Vision for 20 years (2015-2036)
  • Coordinate and develop national positions on areas that concern Kiribati's foreign engagements and provide advice on strategy to promote such interests and positions including drafting of high-level briefings, statements and interventions
