I was employed by Kaefer on Varanus Island which is an off shore live LNG facility. I was the only sheet metal fabricator / lagger on site and had no supervision to report to. My roll included:


  • Communicating with Perth office planners to organise future work scopes.
  • Creating permits
  • Fabricating Aluminium cladding
  • Pre measuring pipe work to be fabricated
  • Grid mesh remediation
  • Boiler making
  • Creating work packs from SAP
  • Managing work fronts to meet deadlines
  • Mechanical fitting, when there wasn't many sheet metal scopes in the schedule. Including - Various valve change outs, hot bolting, gasket change outs, denzo studs & flange, insuring flanges where torqued to correct torque setting in the flange management.
