Matilda Pickett

Hi! My names Matilda (most people call me Tild!). I’ve been working since I was 14 years old in all different environments and am always excited to take on new adventures and are keen for exciting opportunities. When I was 14, I started with working at one of my dad’s restaurants here in Melbourne, just gaining new skills and knowledge in food preparation and customer service. I then started as a beach lifesaver in 2022, learning new first aid and safety techniques, and how to stay calm under pressure and keep people safe in the water. Then in 2024, I became a pool lifeguard, sharpening my first aid skills and getting even better at watching out for others, it's become second nature. Alongside that, I coached basketball for ages 4-9 up until mid 2025. I loved helping kids build teamwork and have fun together on the court and learn new skills. I loved socialising with the little ones and watching them succeed was was like a reward after all our time spent together. Each job has taught me something new and made me more confident to take on whatever comes next, I'm always keen for a challenge!
