Project Planning and Coordination:

Develop and implement construction schedules and plans.
Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned.
On-Site Management:

Supervise and direct subcontractors.
Ensure that work is carried out according to plans, specifications, and standards.
Monitor daily construction activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Quality Control:

Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and client expectations.
Address any issues or deficiencies promptly to maintain project quality.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and quality assurance measures through ITP's.
Health and Safety:

Implement and enforce health and safety protocols on site.
Conduct safety briefings and training sessions for site personnel.
Investigate and report any accidents or incidents, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Client and Stakeholder Communication:

Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates on project progress.
Address client concerns and requests in a professional and timely manner.
Coordinate with local authorities and regulatory bodies as required.

• Responsible for HSE aspects of the project and ensure all works are completed in accordance with required contract conditions, standards/regulations and company procedures
• Positively influence the HSE culture and performance of the project
• Review and provide input into Work Method Statements scopes of work and work packs to ensure all HSE requirements and deliverables are captured
• Ensure the project achieves the required budget, time, and quality targets by successfully supervising and coordinating the activities of work crews on site during the construction, installation, inspection, testing, commissioning and finalisation phases
• Understand and coordinate the scope of works applicable to the work area and the subcontractors and suppliers in the area
• Responsible for developing specific and short-range programs within my work area in conjunction with the relevant Project / Site Engineers
• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with the client quality requirements and Australian standards/codes
• Maintain open lines of communication within the site team and attend and lead all required meetings

• Oversee, schedule and arrange crew work on a daily basis, cooperating with other team members as necessary
• Review all project activities, work equipment and sites every day to make sure everything is performed to company standards as well as to the latest OHS & SWMS regulations and standards
• Locate, calculate and designate job site locations as well as equipment and job site structure locations as needed
• Work with other necessary personnel and supervisors to ensure all site and crew activities are in sync
• Delegate jobs to crew members as determined by their capabilities and the general requirements of specific work projects and site parameters

• Carpentry skills including set out, framing, final fit out, defect rectification, maintenance and the installation of project specific architectural items
• Concreting skill including set out, ground and suspended formwork, installation of steel reinforcing and pour and finish
• Civil construction skills including set out with Topcon survey equipment and the operation of machinery
• A good understanding of industry standards, technical drawings and specifications
• Formwork, steel fixing, concreting, framing, operating machinery, earthworks, final finish, defect works, maintenance work, installing doors, door locks and windows, installing timber and metal architectural objects
• Provide support to the Site Manager and the senior project team

• Projects that I was involved in over my time at JMK were:
• Education facilities at the Rockhampton Grammar School including multi story new construction, low rise new construction, refurbishment of school dormitories and civil works for the primary school drop off zone
• Industrial specific facilities room at Bajool Salt Mine
• Civil construction of sewer upgrade and bridge - Moores Creek Glenmore Road
• North Side Swimming Pool Refurbishment
• Various large shop fit outs and infrastructure works at Stockland Rockhampton
• Kershaw Garden Redevelopment, including all civil, construction and landscaping works
• Shoal Water Bay Urban Operations Training facility
• Projects that I have been involved in over my career have been:
• General Supervision of safety, quality and program for employees and subcontractors
• Providing feedback to the Site Manager
• Providing support to other employees as required
• Providing leadership by example when tasks became difficult or were on tight deadlines
• Assist in managing a staff team of up to 35 personnel
• Delegating tasks for individuals or small teams of personnel
