Subsea Controls Service Technician

  • CVC removal and installation for Apache - Change out 10" flowline for new 12" flowline. 2 connections plus mid line connection.
  • SIT, Drilling and Completion for BHP Upper Pyrenees field - 6 Wells were drilled and completed plus 1 Workover. SIT completed in Cameron's Kewdale workshop, interfacing TRT to HXT to Dummy Well Head, Tubing Hanger installed to HXT during SIT as well. Batch Spudding and drilling were done up to 13" after which upper and lower completions were installed.
  • Operation and Maintenance of IWOCS package.
  • Working with Cameron Tooling techs on various drilling tools used for testing BOPs, installing casing hangers and Seal assemblies as well as using recovery equipment for each of these during various issues.
  • Preparing Stack up drawings for driller before running each drilling tool.
  • Deck testing and Pre-Deployment checks of HXT & TRT, Tubing Hanger & Running Tools, Casing Hanger Running Tools and Seal Assemblies prior to running.
  • Monitoring Production, Annulus and Down Hole pressures during completion operations on SRU. Sensor Read-out Unit.
  • CVC installation for BHP Macedon - 16 connections in total were run from off the side of lay vessel, 8 connections were run on fixed flowlines that had been assembled previously in town. The other 8 connections were on flexible flow line, which had to be purged of air before deployment.
