Accomplishments

  • Investigations - Significant investigative success over many years (criminal and civil misconduct matters) being recognised with several investigative excellence and leadership awards, including the NSW Police 'State Crime Command Rotary Award for Excellence' for significant improvements in investigative outcomes in the first year leading a team of 9 specialist Detectives in a joint child protection team.
  • Policy and process implementation - Successfully managed a significant project developing new policy, procedures and training delivery following the introduction of the Public Interest Disclosures Act 2022 across the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure. The updated legislation saw significant change requiring large scale training, communication, and implementation and development of updated policies and procedures.
  • Management - Effective management of multi-disciplinary teams, developing the skills and experience of staff to ensure progression to higher positions. Having been in management roles for 15 years, I have successfully developed extensive skills and experience through effective collaborative relationships and a positive communication skillset based on honesty, empathy and a high degree of integrity.
